Grant Funding Awarded:

On January 28, 2008 DWR and SWRCB received 9 Round 2 Step 2 proposals for the IRWM Implementation Grant Program [ PDF ] (9 KB). Submittal of a Step 2 IRWM Implementation Grant proposal was by invitation only. Approximately $117 million in grant funding was requested for proposals totaling over $1.1 billion. Funding:

Round 2 Implementation Grants are provided to grant recipients to implement projects that meet the requirements of these guidelines and the California Water Code § 79560 et seq. Eligibility requirements are contained in Section III of the IRWM Grant Program Guidelines.

Workshops Materials:

On December 5th and 6th, 2007, DWR and the State Water Board held two informational workshops for Step 2 applicants.

Guidelines & Proposal Solicitation Packages (PSPs):

The purpose of the guidelines is to establish the process and criteria that the DWR and SWRCB will use to jointly solicit applications, evaluate proposals, and award grants for the second round of funding from the Proposition 50 IRWM Grant Program (Round 2). Also included in these guidelines are the PSP, which contain specific submittal instructions and required content of proposals.
